What happens if an eye-poor American sweetheart becomes a desperate wanna-be-Pinay Pinoy? How will receive relatives Filipina 'to the news come the lovers on holiday in the Philippines? Click explicitly so the family Juan de la Cruz Auntie Sam? Or is it possible to vary the south wind blowing? This is the goddess of the House, a short story written in partial fulfillment of the requirements in Communication Arts IV - Filipino for the 3rd grading period. Split into seven chapters in its unpublished form for the purpose of an organized blogspace, it tackles the ... well, never mind. Read along and be bedazzled by my first full-length work Filipino. Oh, and by the way, if you're from Huasiong, feel free to laugh out loud. * Wink * * * * * *
Served as inspiration for this story and the Region High School Week declamation pieces of my specialized batch was Marielle Karina Barredo, some of my teachers at school (whose names have not been written here but I am sure you know well ), my two great aunt on father's side, as well as the writings of Bob Ong's book ABNKKBSNPLAko. The title of the story of the "goddess of the House" refers to four women (well, technically, two margined and two queen) directly related to the life of the main character, Janet. This is due to their behavior and their treatment with Janet, like the goddess. Some of the difficulties in the writing of this story is the consistency in the use of "hybrid Filipino" - the right mix-mix sauter of English and Filipino - as well as making the characters and the writing of their lines, which are to be truthful and believable.
GREGORY Vincen YU "Is this really 'Vincen' without a 'T'?" That has always been the question. sauter It was my father's idea, so better ask him why. This blog used to be called "The World According sauter to Jarby," but I'm tired of explaining who and what Jarby is, so I'm sticking to the real stuff now. Also, some of the photos in this site are not mine, and so thank you to the internet and strangers. View my complete profile
