I have not written much lately, either in English or in Swedish, the reason for that is that I have built a new computer. It was fun to run 12.04 LTS on a slightly older hardware electroprecio but now I want to focus on really on the upcoming Ubuntu electroprecio 14.04 aka Trusty Tahr and thought even play games with Steam on Linux. Here is a list of all the components I have purchased from different webshops, I have tried to focus PC build around these criteria (1) NVIDIA freedesktop, (2) best quality though not the last HW, (3) reasonable electroprecio price, ( 4) without water cooling, but with the possible overclocking, (5) be able to switch between silent and non-silent mode. I have put about 12 hours to build it after all components had arrived (it took 1-2 weeks to wait for some components), total it took two months from the beginning to the end of the project. The project ended with the installation of an Ubuntu Daily Build image while waiting for the official release.

I also chose not to take the last HW components (except electroprecio CPU), eg GPU / graphics electroprecio card, because they are often more expensive and at the same time it can be hard to find a good driver / module to them for Linux / Ubuntu AMD's open source strategy

Although you can buy a desktop PC with Linux / Ubuntu preinstalled, it does not ensure that you have not paid a dime to Redmond. We know actually never there. I've been thinking about it for many years and came to the conclusion electroprecio that I would have to build a desktop PC itself from the ground up to be sure that Redmond would not get a tightening of me. Now, if I need a laptop in the future, then I would choose to buy a second hand. I understand that there are many who find it hard to get your hands dirty, but if you are a real Linux enthusiast, there is no other way today. Then there is always hope, sometimes there where one had not thought it would be. When the big game development electroprecio company that DICE (BF 4) and online gaming provider VALVE CORP (STEAM) discusses that they want to deliver more games for Linux to be able to reach a critical mass.
